Ok so a lot of blogs have been asking you who your favorite character from A Midsummer Night's Dream is, well I am asking you this: who is your least favorite character and why? I am pretty sure we have all read parts of every single character so it should be easy to know how they act around their opposite characters. Also you know how Mr. Gallo has been talking about a theme in the book being parallels, well what are some parallels that you are interested in learning more about and why?
Hey Amanda, I think my least favorite character would have to be Egeus because I don't think he should be forcing his daughter to marry someone she doesn't love. I think it's wrong for him to sentence her to death if she doesn't. What a cruel father!
ReplyDeleteI think my least favorite is Demetrius because he really bothers me- he thinks that it's ok that Hermia doesn't love him because Egeus does, like shouldn't he want his wife to love him? He should at least try to be nice, but he's just being a jerk to everyone
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carli. My least favorite would definitely have to be Demetrius because of how he dumped Helena for her best friend. That is so messed up!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Deijah and Carli. Demetrius is really mean, I can't believe Helena still loves him so much. He isn't worth it. He's annoying to the girl he loves, and mean to the girl who loves him.

ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone that my least favorite characters are Egeus and Demitrius but I can't totally hate them because I do see where they are coming from, kinds. With Egeus i understand that he wants Hermia to marry the guy he wants but once he found out that she was in love with Lysander Egeus should have accepted that insteaf of being hostile and threatening her. Demitrius on the other hand has no right to act like a jerk but Helena should respect Demitrius' space and leave him alone for a while.
