Edward Cullen?

ATTENTION: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS AND FACTS FROM ALL FOUR OF THE TWILIGHT BOOKS!

Okay, I was thinking about Edward Cullen (big surprise I know) and there are a lot of weird things that I've never questioned came to mind. When he left Bella and told her that she would get over him, did he really think that she would? I mean she loved him just as much maybe even more than he did. I also thought that deep down inside Bella was destined to be a vampire, so its like her feeling of loving him can never go away just the same with him. Another thing is that he always doubts Bella especially when she says she's strong enough to handle things. He expects her and a lot of the other women characters in the book to be really fragile and I think that shows that Edward is kind of sexist. There are also good sides to him too just like anyone but I don't really want to type them because most of it would be me babbling about how amazing he is. Does anyone agree or disagree with me?  Photo Provided by:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ordeman/2831162566/

  3. I sort of disagree about the Edward be sexist thing. He is just being protective and watching out for the ones he loves.

  4. When I was reading the books I thought Bella was destined to be a vampire, too. I mean, she had a shield since before she was a vampire and she liked the taste of blood when she was carrying Renesmee and had to drink it. Yeah, Edward is REALLY over-protective of her, and sometimes it's kind of annoying, like when he refuses to teach her to fight. It's not like he'd kill her!

  5. Well didn't Bella only like the taste of blood BECAUSE she was carrying Renesmee? Like think back to the first book when Bella actually felt nauseous when in biology class and everyone was pricking their fingers to test their blood.

  6. Yeah, Bella was nauseated when everyone was pricking her fingers, but when she started to hang with Edward and his family more, I think she got more prone to it. (Does that make since?)Since going out with Edward, she got used to the fact that they drink blood.
I think she was destined to become a vampire too, but I think that it was pretty obvious that she would become a vampire in the book, even though I didn't think it would happen all the way in the last book. Since it was pretty obvious, I was glad Meyer put it off until the end and put other things before so the story wasn't just Bella and Edward meet, Bella becomes a vampire. They live happy ever after. The events before Bella becoming a vampire, I think really helped the story in many ways.
I agree with Rachel, I don't think he is sexist. I don't because this is pretty much his first love, and after waiting- what like a hundred years?- he finally finds his love and he doesn't want to lose her so he becomes over protective which makes him look sexist.
Wow, I didn't realize how much I wrote. Oops. lol.

  7. Well in my opinion he doesn't look sexist, he just looks over protective. I mean like if he was like "I am only over protective because I think you are a weaker sex and can't take care of yourself", then I would think he is sexist. :D

  8. I totally agree with Alex and I also like how Stephanie Meyer didn't just end the last book after Bella turned into a vampire, she had more events come after to show how Bella is completely different.

  9. Your welcome Rachel! Yeah, I loved it how Meyer had more events after her becoming a vampire too, especially because it can lead on to start other books. Plus, how do you feel about Stephanie Meyer not finishing the fifth book because someone leaked it and is too depressed to finished it? I think it is bogus, and she just doesn't want to finish the series because she is spending all of her money on vacations and things like that and doesn't have time to finish the fifth one.

  10. I don't think that at all, I think she has every right in the world to take her time (even though I don't want her to) because someone leaked her personal work and she must feel very like invaded. If I was her I definitely finish Midnight Sun, but just mot right this minute. Again I am NOT saying that I don't want her to write it because I would love that!! I <3 Edward
